Siouxsie & the Banshees - Seven Year Itch
Having been an avid fan for over twenty years, when I saw this set list I was absolutely thrilled. I couldn't wait for it to be released. There are several amazing b-sides(a usual treat from them for fans like myself), and it even has my favorite track, "Land's End." It's a small relief that the track is the ONLY ONE on the whole DVD that is remotely listenable. Siouxsie, I honor you always, but your vocal is off key the ENTIRE SHOW (it's worse when you consider they filmed more than one night), so noticeably that I actually wince watching you trash your back catalog. They brought in the guitarist from the psychedelic furs for the show, and though he does a decent job on the songs, overall no matter how well the band plays Siouxsie's abyssmal vocal destroys all. This DVD comes from a band that was so amazing live in the past it is a tragedy this DVD saw the light of day.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS, BUY THE NOCTURNE DVD. Even though the hits you may recoginize are on the seven year itch, you can fully expect to be disappointed. Nocturne shows the band at their masterful best (not to mention having Robert Smith of The Cure on guitar is a plus, and the extras on that are excellent).
The only thing worth watching the DVD for is Budgie goofing around backstage.
Can I give it no star? Note also the audio CD sound quality is inferior to the DVD, it's like they got nothing right but the packaging.

Nocturne
I think women have to go through too much to keep up with ridiculous standards of modern beauty. Ladies, look to Siouxsie as your role model. Excellent DVD that captures a brilliant "f**k you" to the stupid, preposterous etiquette of "acceptable" personal appearance.

Twice Upon a Time [VHS]
I liked all these videos because they take me to diferent periods of time in the life of the band. All videos are acomodated sequencially in time so you just enjoy it from the beginning to the end. They let us see the beautiful Siouxie through the ages and the rest of the group. Of course, all songs are hits! ... and as it was my case I had never seen them "alive" so buying this video was the only chance I had.
