I think Barbra has a GREAT singing voice. And that's what I wanted in this concert. Sad part was, it's about an hour and a half long and she only does 13 songs, with LOTS of talk between each song. Not my idea of a great concert.

The "concert" takes place in the Village at a small place where she got her start. Only a little more than 130 people can even fit in the place. Oh, it's filled all right, but mostly with her friends (including ex-President Clinton, his wife Hillary, and their daughter Chelsea). It's as though everyone attending is "honored" to be in the audience just to see her.

I'm sure there are much better "concert DVDs" featuring MS. Streisand on them. I strongly suggest saving your money on this one.

Unfortunately, I had never heard of Dr. Michael White and his original Liberty Jazz Band until a recent trip to New Orleans. Jazz was not the type of music I listened to a lot. During our stay in New Orleans, we were invited to a church service at which Dr. White and his Band were the guest musicians. I don't think there are words to describe adequately what I felt, listening to the band and Dr. White's Clarinet. My husband and adult daughter expressed the same feelings.
I have since purchased both CD's and I am just as moved listening to them over and over as I was the first time I heard Dr. Michael White and his original Liberty Jazz Band.

This is a phenomenal CD. Chris Potter is a phenomenal musician, the incarnation of Trane.
